What if - Zhane Side

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!!!!!!

A few things i need to point out in this pic:

Ya guys remember my Twin ocs Andros and Zhane, right? How they were in love with Berry and Minx, 's oc, right?

Well, time passed, things and people changed, we weren't able to rp so often anymore and... Long story short, they grew distant... So Ichi felt it was better that they broke up... At least in the megaman universe. In my pokémon project they're still together, but still... I'm not gonna go in details, but I can say that whole thing did shake me up.

I know, they're only fictional characters, but they'd been together for almost four years, they gave me a new look on rping as well as drawing and writting fanfiction and now that it's over... I felt odd. Empty...

I'd like to point out that I AM NOT MAD at Ichi for what happened. She was honest with me and did take in consideration my feelings as well as the twins'.

I drew this and wrote the little fanfic below because I felt I needed to make something as a tribute for the twins to give them a chance to express their feelings as well as a reminder of the good times they passed together with their girls and to give a message of hope. After all, Ichi never said they could never be together again.

The picture and fic are named after Kate Winslet's song "What if" whose lyrics are also used in the ficlet. The second song is a translation attempt at Saint Seiya's brazilian ending song "Blue Dream" Here are the links for both songs on youtube:

Zhane growled as the music played on the radio. Two weeks. Two freaking weeks and he still hadn’t gotten over his breakup with Berry.

No. He didn’t hate Berry for that. He hated himself. He wasn’t good enough for Berry and that was the reason he lost her. Then again, if he was such a loser, how did Berry fall in love with him in to begin with?

It was so confusing for him. The more he tried to find a logical answer for why things happened the way they did, the more ticked off he got.

He had tried to burn that anger with training but that backfired as he nearly broke Jeran-San’s arm during a sparring session only to be stopped by X-San. Both were really understanding of his situation, but that didn’t stop him from feeling bad for what he did.

He tried to keep his routine in order to control his emotions, but the whole ordeal was being nerve-wrecking for him. Everything he loved to do reminded him of Berry: no other girl was so brave, smart, kicked butt and was so beautiful and caring as well as always ready for adventure or willing to try the outfits he designed, after much convincing true, but she enjoyed it and he loved the way Berry smiled and teased him.

Zhane growled again. To make matters worse, he couldn’t even ask Andros for help as his younger twin faced a similar ordeal.

It would be comical if it wasn’t so tragic.

He could only hope Berry and Minx were happier back in Giga City with their relatives and would find their own bit of happiness.

As for him and his brother, they faced the situation each one in their own way: Andros shut himself from the world to deal with his pain while Zhane faced the world with a grin only to break down when he was alone. Which way was better? He didn’t know.

Another song started playing on the radio:

As the song rolled on, Zhane touched his neck and felt something on it: it was the Raspberry Crystal Pendant Berry had given to him after their first date. Finally, it dawned on him: Berry still had the Raspberry Heart Locket he had made for her. That meant that no matter how far they could be from each other, they’d always have a piece of each other with them.

Zhane smiled as tears ran down his face. There was still hope for them. It could take years, but maybe, he and his Ninja Sweetie could be together again one day.

Without warning, Zhane started singing. One day, he’d be reunited with his dear ninja. He hoped and prayed for that day to come soon.

Yes, he still hurt as hell, but now Zhane felt he could handle it. After all, if he wanted to win Berry back, he had to be strong. For her sake. And his own.

About the drawing: I'm kinda proud of it despite the likely mistakes. I honestly feel better after drawing this and sharing with you all. With a bit of luck, the same thing will happen with my boys soon.
